William L. King, of Billerica, and formerly of Bedford, died peacefully on December 1, 2022.

Bill King, 94, was born and raised in Boston and was the son of the late Mary Florence and Lawrence King.

He attended Boston Trade School and was married to the late Phoebe M. King on March 28, 1948.

Bill was a building contractor for many years, eventually owning his own company before becoming a project manager for several commercial developers. His building expertise led him to a successful retirement career in local real estate sales. As a Bedford resident for 50 years, Mr. King was truly invested in his community, serving several years on both the Planning and Select Boards.

Bill enjoyed life to the fullest, whether boating on Winnipesaukee or skiing at Sunapee, always including family and friends. As an avid sports fan, he cherished his Red Sox World Series wins and the Patriots Super Bowl victories. Family gatherings for all occasions were always special times in the King household.

Mr. King is survived by three children, Ronald W. King and his wife, Susan of Plymouth, Deborah J. Lawson and her husband, Stephen of Goodyear, AZ and Jayne M. King of Gilford, NH, three grandchildren and one great grandchild, Stephen L. King, his wife Dawn and their daughter Isabella, Matthew King, and Jarrett Corr and his husband, Nolan Haskovec.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd, Bedford, on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 10:00-11:00 AM with a graveside service to follow at 11:30AM, in Shawsheen Cemetery.
