William J. Daniels, 71, of Tyngsboro and formerly of Carlisle, died on July 10, 2017, surrounded by his loved ones after a brief battle with cancer.

He was the son of the late Alva and Roberta (Sharp) Daniels.

In 1963, Mr. Daniels graduated from Rutherford B. Hayes High School in Delaware, Ohio.

After high school he enlisted in the Army and served four years at Fort Devens.

He had several jobs and worked as a mason for many years. Most recently he worked as a carpenter and then a livery driver for the Mitre Corp. He retired in 2016.

He was a member of the Thomas Talbot Masonic Lodge in Billerica. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and spending time with his family, especially grandchildren, at his home in Meredith, NH.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marsha (Davis) Daniels, his three sons and their wives, Craig and Suzanne of Littleton, Todd and Shirley of Concord and Kurt and Stephanie of Pepperell, his brother, Ben Daniels and his wife Ruthie and sister, Beverly Holbrook and her husband Marvin all of Ohio. Three grandchildren, Chase, Hailey and Hunter Daniels. Also preceding him in death were his sisters, Phyllis Spaw and Ruth Ann Rhodes of Ohio.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Friday, July 14, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
