Warren A. "Sam" Penney, 81, of Bedford, died on August 29, in Concord following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Penney was a Bedford resident for 48 years and was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict.
A commercial artist, he was retired from Litton ITEK Corp. in Lexington where he had worked for 29 years.
Raised in Somerville, he was the youngest of 9 children born to the late Alexander and Elizabeth Penney. He was predeceased by his all his siblings.
Mr. Penney was the loving husband of Ruth E. (Bailey) Penney; devoted father of Scott Penney and his wife, Kathy of Groton, John Penney and his wife, Terri of Dracut and Susan Marion and her husband, Patrick of Groton; dear grandfather of Jake, Shane, Olivia, Keegan, Robbie and Leah Penney and Joshua and Hannah Marion.
His funeral service will be held at the First Parish Church of Groton, 1 Powder House Rd., Groton, on Thurs., Sept. 12, at 11:00 A.M.
