Walter Scott Cole Jr., of Carlisle, retired engineer and bird enthusiast, passed away on June 6, 2021, at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Scott's love of life didn't come to an end with his death as he will remain with the people whose lives he touched.

Scott graduated Co-Valedictorian from St. Petersburg High in 1968, went on to complete his bachelor's degree at the University of Florida, and later became a member of MENSA.

The simple pleasures in life brought great joy to Scott, even finding humor in daily mishaps.  For Scott, a spill was a moment to admire the shape of the splatter, not worry over the spill.

He enjoyed being at home with the love of his live and wife of 30 years.  Scott is survived by his beautiful wife, Vivian, his sister, and many nieces and nephews.

Scott, who never wanted others to make a fuss over him, will be honored in a simple wake at Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Thursday, June 10, from 4:00-6:00 PM.
