Virginia H. Tremblay, 89, of Bedford, died on March 21, 2013, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Tremblay was born and raised in Lynn, Mass. and was the daughter of the late John L. and Marion J. (Parks) Tremblay.

She worked in the Lynn Public School department for many years in the superintendent's office. She also worked as a file clerk for a Boston insurance company and held positions in many retail stores.

Mrs. Tremblay had lived in Bedford since 1954 and was a former resident of Cambridge.

She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Tremblay who died in 1986 and sister of the late Marion, Eileen, Louise and Anna.

She is survived by three daughters, Julie of Minnesota, Donna of Charlestown and Doreen of Bedford and her granddaughter, Christine Tremblay-Young of Charlestown.

Funeral services were private.
