Virginia C. Powderly, 91, longtime resident of Waltham/Maynard, died peacefully on March 10, 2019 surrounded by her family at home.

She was the beloved wife of 72 years to the late Robert Powderly.

Virginia was a longtime employee with Jet Spray in Waltham.  Virginia was born in Cambridge to Lillian and Wesley Holland.

She was a devoted mother to Patricia (Neil) Gillis, Robert, Holly (David Gertz), Steven (Susan) and Virginia Powderly and the late Catherine (Powderly) Onyechefule. Sister of the late Wesley Holland and Dorothy Dionne. Sister-in-law to late Ruth Johnston, Marion McGrath, Doris Litchfield, Kenneth Powderly, Richard Powderly, Elizabeth O'Connell, Ethel Pellerin, Frances Sullivan, Paul Powderly.  Survived by in-laws Ellen Powderly and Arthur Pellerin. Grandmother to Raymond Emerson, Kimberly Lento, Neil Michael Gillis, Matthew and Ryan Powderly, Jacquelyn Powers, Scott and Keith Marchione and the late Scott Powderly.
