Obituary

Thomas "Tom" M. Sardzinski, 78, of Bedford, MA died peacefully on February 4, 2022, surrounded by his family and dog, at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA.

Tom was the son of the late Anthony and Cecelia (Coveleskie) Sieradzinski, brother of the late Joseph Sardzinski, and his late wife Marsha, and the late John "Jackie" Sardzinski and his surviving wife, Georgiana. He grew up in Shamokin, Pennsylvania and joined the Air Force in his late teens, and was eventually stationed at Hanscom Airforce Base in Bedford, MA.

While living in Bedford, Tom met and fell in love with the late Barbara (Bishop) Sardzinski, whom he married and raised a family with.

Tom worked at Raytheon for over 30 years then at Hologic Inc.

After retiring, Tom and Barbara enjoyed vacationing, line dancing, spending time together, and spending time with their family. After Barbara's passing in 2012, Tom continued to live with his son, the late Christopher J. Sardzinski, until his passing in 2014.

Tom was very helpful to his family; for years he drove his three grandchildren to preschool, out of town summer schools, and to their sports and activities. Tom loved to fish and would often go fishing by himself or with his sons. In his later years, Tom enjoyed eating out with friends, walking his dog Holly, watching sports, and attending his grandchildren's activities and games.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who have described him as the "best grandpa ever".

Tom is survived by his son Mark T. Sardzinski and his wife Concetta (Fulgoni) of Bedford, MA, his three grandchildren Sabrina, Sam, Sophia, cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
