Thomas F. Berran Jr., of Bedford, sadly passed away unexpectedly at Bedford VA Memorial Hospital, on December 22, 2021.  He was 71 years old.  Tom was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam era. He resided at the VA Hospital, where he received the most compassionate care since 2011.

For most of his life, Tom was a gifted musician.  At age 13 he started a rock band, which played at the Teen Club when his father (USAF) was stationed in Japan (1962-1965).  At age 17 he was accomplished with a 12-string classical guitar and piano.

Tom is survived by his sister, Mari Berran Miller of Newark, CA.  He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Laura Berran of Revere, MA and sister, Debra Ann Watson of Billerica.  A private burial service will be held at Puritan Lawn Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held in spring.
