Therese (Teri)
Regina Simmons
d. Feb 3, 2023
BEDFORD
Teri Simmons passed away peacefully on Friday February 3, 2023 with family by her side at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA. where she lovingly volunteered for years.
Born in 1943 in Albany New York, to Charles and Helen Simmons, Teri attended Kenwood Academy and studied at Katty Gibbs School in Miami and then went on to work as an Executive Assistant at ADP for many years. She married John P Harcourt Jr. in 1965 with whom she had her beloved children Jay and Sybil. After divorcing, she moved to Massachusetts where she lived most of her life.
Teri was an avid, multi-talented artist and crafter adept at decoupage, card and jewelry making, beading, and felting, and dreamed of showing her works in all the prestigious European museums. She focused locally though, and generously shared her art with the community of friends she found at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bedford, MA.
She is preceded in death by her parents and older brother Charles, and is survived by brothers Steve (wife Janie) of Albany NY and Mark (wife Barbara) of Boston MA; several nephews and a niece; her children, Jay and husband Ryan of San Francisco CA and Sybil and husband Armen of Bedford MA; and her cherished grandchildren Ani and Thomas.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Road, Bedford, MA on Friday, March 3, from 5pm to 7pm.
A Memorial Eucharist in thanksgiving for Teri's life will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 100 Pine Hill Rd., Bedford, on Saturday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m., which will be followed by a reception at the Lexington Masonic Lodge, 3 Bedford St, Lexington, MA. Teri's ashes will be interred in the St. Paul's Memorial Garden, as weather permits.
