Theresa E. Messier, 74, of Bedford died on March 26, 2012.

Mrs. Messier was born in Boston, on March 10, 1938, and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (McLaughlin) Doherty.

She was raised in Charlestown and was a graduate of Trinity Academy in Belmont, Class of 1956.

Prior to her marriage, she was employed as a secretary at the Supreme Court in Boston. In later years, she worked for a local dental practice.

Mrs. Messier had lived in Bedford for the past 45 years where she was a faithful member of St. Michael's parish.

Her family was her life and she was a caring homemaker.

She was the devoted wife of Joseph B. Messier; the loving mother of Brian A. Messier and his wife Robyn Baker of Minneola, FL and the late Kathleen A. Messier; dear sister of Hugh Doherty of Quincy, Kathleen Walker of Cincinnati, OH, Betty Pino of Falmouth, MA, Sally Sloan of Chelsea, Mary Regan of Rocky Hill, NJ and the late Thomas and John Doherty.

Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, Sat. at 8:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 A.M. Visitation at the funeral home on Fri. from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
