Obituary

Teresa E. Caristi, 79, of Naples, Florida, a longtime resident of Bedford and York Beach, Maine, died surrounded by her loving family on November 24, 2014.

Mrs. Caristi was born in Medford on May 15, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Eileen (Bruno) Costa.

Mrs. Caristi was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1953 and following her graduation attended Massachusetts School of Art for two years.

She was married on June 29, 1958, to Donald J. Caristi and they moved to Bedford in 1973 to raise their family. While living in Bedford, she was employed with the Bedford Public School System as a teacher's aide and librarian and was a member of St. Michael's Parish. She loved the ocean and was an avid gardener.

In 1996, she and Donald moved from Bedford to Naples, Florida where they enjoyed their retirement during the winter months down south and journeyed back north in the summer to enjoy their home in York Beach, Maine.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald J. Caristi; her five children and their spouses; Karen Lua and her husband George of Bedford, Diane Marino and her husband Thomas, also of Bedford, Linda Iacopucci and her husband Dana of Somerville, Donald Caristi Jr. and Jennifer of Scituate, and Teresa Ferrelli and her husband Peter of Winchester. Also survived by her twelve grandchildren; Stephen, Nikki, Alli, Joseph, Kari, Lauren, Michael, Christopher, Anna, John, Sophia, and Benjamin.

Funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great. Rd., Bedford, on Mon., Dec.1 at 8 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9 A.M. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sun., Nov. 30 from 2-6 P.M.

Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, 516 Bedford St., Concord, MA.
