Teresa Bertini, 88, of Melrose, formerly of Somerville, died on August 28, 2025.

Teresa was born in Diecimo, Italy and was the daughter of the late Alceste and Anastasia (Ambrogi) Bertini. Her family immigrated to the United States when she was 18 and settled in Somerville.

Teresa enjoyed a decades-long career as a talented seamstress in Boston. She was an avid gardener, chef, and crocheter. Teresa showed that it was never too late to pick up new hobbies when she took up competitive ballroom dancing in her 50's, where she won awards and acknowledgement as a deaf participant. She stayed connected to Italy, traveling to Diecimo to visit family and friends more than a dozen times.

She was predeceased by her brother, Albert Bertini. She was the devoted sister-in-law of Alice (Lyons) Bertini of Carlisle. Loving aunt to Elizabeth Dennis and her husband Brendan, and Michael Bertini and his wife Anna, all of Carlisle. Dear great-aunt to Olivia Dennis, Shannon Dennis, John Dennis, and Leo Bertini.

Funeral services will be private.
