Susan H. Bouchard, 70, of Tyngsborough, died on March 5, 2023, surrounded by her family at Lowell General Hospital.

She was born in California and lived in Colorado for 11 years before moving to Bedford in 1968.

Susan attended Bedford High School and was a member of the Class of 1970 and went on to be part of the first graduating class of Middlesex Community College. She then attended Salem State University where she received her bachelor's degree in early childhood education.

Following graduation, she began working in human resources at Instrumentation Labs and then went to Environmental Research and Technology in Concord. She also worked in banking for many years at the then Shawmut Bank in Bedford.

In 1978, she married John Bouchard at St. Michael Church in Bedford.

Susan enjoyed travelling and especially loved her trip to Italy and Greece. She loved arts and crafts and was a distinguished card marker. She made holiday and birthday cards which she sold online. Above all, she was a devoted mother and wife and cherished her time with family.

She is survived by her husband, John J. Bouchard, her two sons, Andrew Bouchard of Exeter, NH and Zachary Bouchard of Tyngsborough, her mother, Helen (Janowiak) Shaw of Chelmsford, her brother, Christopher D. Shaw of Chelmsford and her sister, Clarice Boyd of Hollis, NH. She was predeceased by her father, Lawrence A. Shaw and her brother, Lawrence "Skipper" Shaw Jr.

A graveside service will be held at St. Bernard's Cemetery, 47 Bedford St., Concord, on Friday, March 10, at 2:00 PM.
