Sally R. Watson, 96, died in Lexington on May 7, 2016.
Sally was born on May 27, 1919, in Dorchester to Taquhey and Ghougas Arabian.
Her father died when she was 14 and she lived with her mother and sisters, Florence and Ann until her marriage to Roy Watson.
Roy and Sally eventually bought a home in Hyde Park where they raised their family. She lived there for 43 years and moved to Woburn after Roy and her sisters died.
She was a very outgoing and made many friends wherever she was. Her longest and most rewarding career was at Filene's in downtown Boston. She began working there as a hostess in the restaurant and eventually moved into sales after the restaurant closed. When the store closed its doors, Sally retired at the age of 87. During that time, she received many awards and commendations and retired as a diamond star employee.
She is survived by her children, Jewel Watson Paur of Albuquerque, NM and Roy J. Watson, Jr. of Belmont, two grandchildren, Chely Jewel Watson Badell and Roy Hernan Watson Badell and a niece, Vanessa Pellegrino Badell.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 10, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 11, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
