Obituary

Sally A. Flores (Sheehan), 76, of Bedford, died December 4, 2014, in Burlington.

Sally was born in Boston on September 22, 1938, the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Helen R. (Lyons) Sheehan.

She was raised in West Roxbury and was a graduate of Girls' Latin School and Emmanuel College and continued her education at Catholic University in Washington, DC. She completed her Master's Degree in biochemistry at University of Massachusetts at Lowell where she taught anatomy & physiology as well as chemistry classes. Later she worked at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center in Waltham where she was involved with genetics research.

Sally was a long time parishioner at St. Michael's Church in Bedford where she was a Religious Education teacher, a Eucharistic Minister, and most recently a member of the Arimathea Society. She also was a member of the Bedford Women's Social club.

She will be remembered by family and friends for her generosity to her loved ones, friends and numerous charities. She was a loving, caring, thoughtful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was always someone who one could call on to go shopping or share a cup of coffee with.

She is survived by her husband Arthur L. Flores, four children; Mary Flores of Dublin, OH, Christina Pare and her husband Mark of Bedford, MA, Fred Flores and his wife Catherine Lindgren of Kennebunk, ME, and Robert Flores of Redwood City, CA; her twin sister, Mary Butler of Holland, MI, her sister Jane Sheehan of Yarmouth, MA; her brother, David Sheehan of West Roxbury and five grandchildren; Jack, Bobby and Justin Pare and Emma and Maya Flores.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home at 167 Great Road on Monday, December 8th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, on Tuesday, December 9, at 9:00 A. M.

Interment will be at Shawsheen Cemetery.
