Rose Costa, a longtime resident of Bedford, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024, at the age of 90.

Born to the late Manoog and Dorothy Lousararian, Rose grew up in Dorchester and was an alumna of Jeremiah E. Burke High School. Her love for beauty and creativity led her to attend cosmetology school.

At the age of 16, Rose met Dennis Costa while roller skating—a meeting that would later blossom into a deep and enduring love. They married and enjoyed 58 years of a joyful and loving marriage until Dennis's passing in 2015.

Rose and Dennis made their home in Bedford in the late 1950s, where Rose was an active member of St. Michael Parish. Her vibrant spirit was evident in her hobbies and interests, which included a love for Scrabble, word searches, Jackstones, and following the Red Sox. But above all, Rose's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, finding happiness in the company of her children and grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her daughter, June Costa Martel of Bedford, her grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Savas, Daniel Martel, Chelsea Aguilar (Abraham), Nick Costa-Roeterdink (Joy), Johnny Costa (Isie), Tommy Costa and Frankie Costa, her daughter-in-law, Paula Costa and cousin, Dorothy Piranian.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis, son, Mark Costa, daughter, Denise Costa and her siblings, Jake Lousararian, Mary Lousararian and Joe Lousararian.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Michael Parish, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, on Tuesday, September 24, at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Shawsheen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Rose's memory.
