Robert E. Johnson, 91, of Nashua, formerly of Lexington, MA, died on October 19, 2016, following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Johnson was born in Boston on July 2, 1925, and was the son of the late John E. and Lessie (Driscoll) Johnson.

He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and was a charter member of the Lexington United Methodist Church.

Mr. Johnson retired from the Raytheon Corporation in Lexington and for several years was the proprietor of Country Donuts in Tyngsborough.

He was the husband of the late A. Marie (Powers) Johnson and father of the late Robert E. Johnson Jr. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Anwaye) Johnson of Nashua and his children and their spouses, John Johnson and Carol of Groton, Karen Faria and Lawrence of Kingston, NH and Keven Johnson and Leslie of Gardner, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at the Westview Cemetery, 520 Bedford St., Lexington, on Monday, October 24, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
