Robert DeMattio, 86, of Hingham, died peacefully at his home on July 7, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born and raised in Michigan and had lived in Bedford for 50 years until moving to Hingham late 2018.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (O'Connor) DeMattio, his three children, Kate Powers and her husband Tim of Weymouth, Patty Flaherty of Ipswich and Michael DeMattio and his wife Heatherly of North Attleboro, ten grandchildren, Max Flaherty and his wife, Janelle, Kristen Seaton and her husband, Jim, Meghan Powers, Jake Powers, Samantha Flaherty, Michael Powers, Michaela DeMattio, Zach DeMattio, Andy DeMattio and Tyler DeMattio four great grandchildren, Harper, Logan, Jackson and Miller and two sisters, Marge Groth and Marilyn Ricard of Michigan.

Visitation at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Thursday, July 11, from 4:00-8:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jerome Parish, 632 Bridge St., Weymouth, on Friday, July 12, at 10:30 AM.

Burial will be private.
