Rita M. Fone, 93, of Bedford, died on January 18, 2015, in Lowell, MA.

Mrs. Fone was born in Boston on September 11, 1921, and she was the daughter of the late Paul and Alice (Redford) LaPrise.

Mrs. Fone lived in Charlestown before coming to Bedford where she was a day care provider for over twenty years. She was fondly called "Nana" by many children.

She was the wife of the late Robert A. Fone who died in 1980.

She is survived by her children, Robert Fone of Lake Havasu, AZ, Diane Fitzgerald and her husband, Daniel of Townsend, Carol Fone of Bedford, Maureen Joseph and her husband, Robert of Lexington and Ronald Fone and his wife Kerry of Dracut, eight grandchildren, George and Rodney Fone, Robert, Kevin and Kerrie Joseph, Erin and Daniel Fitzgerald and Riley Fone as well as eight great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by eight siblings.

A private funeral service will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, Bedford, MA. .
