Richard A. Fryer, Master Sergeant, USAF (Retired), age 84 of Bedford, MA on December 5th,2016.

He served his nation for over 22 years in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War serving at K-9 Airbase at Pusan.

Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Pepper) Fryer. Beloved father of Richard A. Fryer Jr., Colonel USAF (Retired) and wife Belinda of San Antonio, TX; Nancy L. Perry and her husband Gordon of Tyngsborough, MA; Robert B. Fryer, Lt. Colonel, Wyoming Air National Guard (Retired) and wife Charlene of Berthoud, CO and Leslie G. Wright and her husband Mark of Pepperell, MA. Grandfather to Christopher W. Perry and his wife Meredith; Rebecca I. Stanton and her husband Michael; Elizabeth G. Spear and her husband Steven; Colleen James and her husband Eric, Margaret and Kathryne Fryer; Bruce and Meghan Fryer; and Grace Wright. Great-Grandfather to Oliver and Henry Stanton, Ella, Ava and Olivia Perry, Lincoln, Charlotte and Josephine Spear; Aryah and Aviana James; and Dorothy Houston. Brother of Louise Johnson of NJ, Bruce Fryer of FL, June Herka of NJ and the late Robert Fryer of NJ.

He was born to the late Charles and Sophie (Kindsvogel) Fryer on December 21, 1931 in Orange, NJ.

Visitation at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Saturday, December 10, from 1-4 PM.

Richard's family would like to thank Dr. Richard Ma, the staff of 7SE at Lahey Clinic and the staff at Merrimack Community Hospice House for their compassion and wonderful care.
