Richard A Davidson, of Bedford, passed away suddenly on April 28, 2017, at age 77.

He was born in Boston, MA and was the son of George and Dolorosa Davidson. Beloved husband of 55 years to Stephanie Davidson.

Loving father of Michael P. Davidson and fiancé, Dawn Yates, Richard A Davidson, Jr and his wife Lisa, Kathleen D. Jaeger, and Mary C. Mahan and her husband, James.

Predeceased by son, Stephen P. Davidson, and infant daughter Anne Marie.

Cherished Grampy of Elizabeth, Sean, Brendan, Stephanie, Richard III, Catherine, James V, Kelsey, Amanda, Lillian and Ashley.

Dick grew up in Reading, MA, and he received his pharmacy degree in 1961 from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He was the Chief Executive Officer and owner of Davidson's Pharmacy, Inc. located in Bedford, MA, where he proudly served his community for thirty-eight years. His professional work included being a consultant pharmacist at Carleton Willard Nursing Home. He also proudly served on the Bedford High School Assessment Committee, and made significant and meaningful contributions to the St. Michael's Parish, including the Eucharistic Ministry and the Youth Ministry Programs. He was known for his strong, gentle spirit, phenomenal intellect, sense of humor, and genuine and bright smile. He had an unwavering commitment and an abundance of love for his family and friends. He so loved spending time with his family at his summer home in Port Clyde, Maine and wintering on Palm Island, Florida. He also loved engaging family and friends in conversations from politics and the markets, and filled each day with joy and laughter.

Visitation at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Tuesday, May 2, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael's Parish, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3. Interment will follow at Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
