Rhoda Mae (Unger) Silverblatt, age 92, of Peabody, MA, passed away April 17, 2021.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Naumoff) and Jerome Unger, and the wife of the late Bernard (Barney) L. Silverblatt. Rhoda and Barney raised their family in Mt. Lebanon, PA where they lived for over 35 years. They retired to Boynton Beach, FL, then moved to Peabody, MA in 2017 to be closer to family.

Rhoda graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in education and taught elementary school. She was a performing member of the South Hills Chorale for many years and enjoyed antiquing, classical music, knitting, reading and spending time with family.

Rhoda is survived by her daughters Carrie Silverblatt Penman (Jon Roseman) of Bedford, MA, and Jane Silverblatt (Robert Platt) of Chagrin Falls, OH; grandchildren – Ana Penman-Aguilar (Alfredo), Robert Penman, Jill Penman Myers (Andrew), Samuel Roseman (Eliza), Rachel McCaughan, Samuel McCaughan, Benjamin McCaughan, Carly Platt, and Katie Platt; and great grandchildren – Philip, Elliot and Nora Myers.

Arrangements are in the care of Bedford Funeral Home, Bedford, MA. Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery near Pittsburgh, PA in June.
