Beloved husband, father, and grandfather Regis L. Roderick, age 83, of Bedford, formerly of Wellesley, passed away on February 18, 2024, following a lengthy illness.

Regis was born on March 28, 1940, in Berlin, New Hampshire, and was the only child of the late Leo and Annette (Paré) Roderick. He spent his earliest years in a French-Canadian community in Lewiston, Maine, and spoke only French until the age of five, when he started kindergarten. Throughout his life, he remained proud of his French heritage.

His family later moved to Massachusetts, where he developed a love for golf and worked as a caddie. He was active in Boy Scouts and became an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Framingham High School in 1958, followed by Boston University on a Francis Ouimet Scholarship in 1962. He later attended the MBA program at Babson College.

Regis had a long and successful career in the computer industry, with over 25 years in domestic and international sales in hardware and software. Outgoing and engaging and always with a ready wit, Regis had the perfect personality for sales. He conducted business on six continents for Honeywell, Unisys, Data Terminal Systems, Wang Laboratories, and BGS Systems. After working in many executive roles, he retired in 2003 to focus on special projects and consulting.

Regis was a Paul Harris Fellow member of Rotary International, a director of Boston University's Sigma Alpha Epsilon Association, and a trustee of the Massachusetts Nurses Foundation. While living in Wellesley, he was a member of the Wellesley Tennis Association and Nehoiden Golf Club for many years. He also enjoyed travel, fishing, dancing to the Oldies, and playing in the Eastern Massachusetts Senior Softball League.

In recent years, he was a trustee at Huckins Farm Condominium Association in Bedford and he was a past clerk for The Society of Biblical Studies of Arlington and Bethlehem.

Regis was predeceased by his first wife Barbara in 1996.

Regis is survived by his wife of 16 years, Susanne, as well as his two daughters, Jennifer Roderick and her husband Hanspeter Pfister of Arlington and Stephanie Williams and her husband Ben Williams of Corte Madera, California, and four grandchildren, Lilly and Audrey Pfister and Jake and Evan Williams.

Regis had a large network of friends and was loved by many. He was a gracious host who time and again offered his home, and his heart, to others. His laughter and irreverent sense of humor was a gift to all. He will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Monday, February 26, at 12:15 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Burial will be private.
