Raymond L. Massey, of Lexington, died on January 13, 2013, in Burlington.

Mr. Massey had lived in Lexington for the past 40 years and retired in 1997 from the high school where he served as head custodian.

He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service he worked at the family run gas stations in Cambridge and Medford.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was a fan of all New England sports.

He was the beloved husband of Lucy A. (Sacco) Massey, loving father of Raymond Massey and his wife Larah of Haverhill and Curtis Massey and Mary Eggerts both of Lexington, dear brother of Harold and Robert Massey, Irene Morris and Betty Dondia all of Conn. and devoted grandfather of Kelsea and Michael Eggerts. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings, Clayton, Leonard, Zip, Burt, Oscar, Dorothy, and Iva.

His funeral will be held from the funeral home Sat. at 8:00 .M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford at 9:00 A.M. Visitation at the funeral home will be on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M.

Interment will be in Westview Cemetery in Lexington.
