Paul B. Johnson, 86, of Bedford died unexpectedly on November 13, 2015.

Mr. Johnson was born in Arlington on September 8, 1929, and he was the son of the late Earl V. and Olive M. (Bridges) Johnson.

He was raised in Somerville and had lived in Bedford for the past fifty years.

An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served from 1951 to 1953 and was awarded a Purple Heart for his service.

He was retired from the Bedford Post Office where he had worked as a clerk for many years.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret A. Champney Johnson, his sister, Ruth Barnett of East Harwich, his brother-in-law, George Champney and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Thelma (Annis) Johnson and siblings Perry, Earle and Carol Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.
