Norman E. Davis, Jr., 80, of Carlisle, died on April 30, 2015, in Concord.
Known to family and friends as "Bud", he was born in Woburn on June 7, 1934, and was the son of the late Norman and Mildred (Stokes) Davis.
A lifelong Carlisle resident, he worked most of his career as an electroplater for Sylvania. In later years, he worked in the maintenance department at McLean Hospital.
He was a graduate of Concord High School, Class of 1953. Mr. Davis will be remembered as a great dancer, a fabulous storyteller, track star and member of the high school baseball team that played at Fenway Park. He loved regaling friends with his story about playing at Fenway. An avid bowler, he was a member of several teams and was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins.
He is survived by his sisters and brother, Joan Pierce of Woburn, David Davis and his wife, Nancy of Concord, Marsha Daniels and her husband, Bill of Tyngsboro, many nieces and nephews and his close friend, Laura Bussey of Winchester.
Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Thursday, May 7, from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M. followed by a graveside service at 2:00 P.M. in Green Cemetery in Carlisle.
