Obituary

Norma Grace Japp, 87, of Carlisle, passed away on May 21, 2015, after a long illness.

She was born in Concord and was the daughter of the late Irvin and Ethel (Carr) Puffer.

Mrs. Japp was well known as the "Carlisle Plant Lady", for over 40 years she sold her perennials from an antique cart in front of her house on Bedford Road in Carlisle.

She was a longtime member of the Carlisle Garden Club and former member of the Carlisle Conservation Committee. In earlier years, she was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout Troop leader and also volunteered with the 4-H organization.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dr. John E. Japp and their children, Dr. Betsy Japp of Woodstock, CT, Robert Japp of Vestal, NY and Paul Japp of Uncasville, CT, grandchildren, Melissa Lenig, Brian Japp, Kevin Japp, Emily Lantman, Henry Lantma, Heather Japp and Lacia Japp and great grandchildren, Colin, Owen, Alexia, Damien and Rosalie.

A private graveside service will be held on Tues. May 26, at the Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford, MA.
