Norma M. Eaton, 82, of Bedford, died on January 28, 2017, in Burlington.

Norma was born and raised in Somerville and was the daughter of the late Michael and Myrtle (Smith) George.

She was a member of Somerville High School, Class of 1952 and also graduated in 1975 from Middlesex Community College with a Medical Assistance Associates Degree. She had lived in Bedford for the past 50 years.

Mrs. Eaton was employed for several years as a secretary by the Environmental Protection Agency and the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford. She retired in 1996.

She loved music and theater and especially the Boston Pop's performances. She adored her seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Eaton was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Eaton in 2010 her daughter, Cheryl Eaton, her sister, Louise Green and brother, Michael George, Jr.

She is survived by three children and their spouses, Robert A. Eaton, Jr and his wife Carol of Bedford, Brenda Benassi and her husband, Michael of Westford and Eric Eaton and his wife, Elaine of Parker, Colorado, her sister, Barbara O'Toole of Somerville and her grandchildren, Rob, Michelle, Kim, Jen, Tony, Tim and Brent.

Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., on Thursday, February 2, at 8:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 A.M.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 1, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Interment will be private.
