Nancy M. (DiMattia) Isotti, 89, of Billerica, formerly of Bedford, Lexington, and Medford, MA, died on Sunday December 3, 2017.
Born in the North End Boston in 1928, the family moved to Medford MA and she attended Medford High School. She received an associate's degree from Boston University in Practical Arts & Letters and she went on to become an Executive Secretary in the banking industry. Nancy held several positions in the banking industry, real estate, and education including First National Bank of Boston, Baybank Boston, and Middlesex Community College.
Nancy was an active member of both St. Brigid's Church in Lexington, MA and St. Michael's Church in Bedford, MA. She found great joy as an avid member of several church choirs and chorale groups including St. Brigid's, St. Michael's, the Young at Hearts singers and the VA chorale group with which she travelled to Europe. She was a competitive Bridge Player and played regularly with both friends and online.
In recent years, Nancy was an enthusiastic participant in various activities at her home at Brightview Assisted Living in Billerica, MA. She continued her banking career by becoming treasurer of the Brightview Residents Committee. She took part in many activities including arts and crafts, music appreciation, and various day trips.
She was extremely well liked and a great source of comfort to many people, but nothing surpassed the love she had for her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of Eugene J. Isotti, PhD, mother of Eugene Bernard Isotti and wife Joanne (Kresse) Isotti of McKinney, TX and Maria Isotti and husband David P. Thompson of Antrim, NH, grandmother of, Colin T. Isotti, Shayla B. Isotti-Thompson, and Krystiana L. Isotti-Thompson all of Antrim, NH. Beloved sister of John DiMattia of Waltham, MA (predeceased) and wife June (Callendrella) DiMattia, sister Phyllis (DiMattia) Antonino and husband Peter Antonino of Humarock, MA, brother Phillip and wife Geraldine (Pilch) DiMattia of Melrose, MA as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by beloved parents Sabino DiMattia and Mary (Puopolo) DiMattia of Medford, MA.
Visitation at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Friday, December 8, from 2:00-4:00 PM. Funeral Mass at St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, on Saturday, December 9, at 10:00 AM.
