Born July 18, 1949, died May 4, 2016. Son of the late A. Dayanand and Leila Rao of New Delhi, India. Murli arrived in Cambridge, MA in 1971 to pursue studies at the Sloan School of Management at MIT, from which he received a MBA. He worked as a market researcher for a variety of companies and as an independent consultant.

Murli leaves behind his former wife and best friend, Lovella Slusser and his daughters Amanda and Vanessa Rao.

The Rao family invites friends to pay respects at the Bedford Funeral Home on Monday May 9, 2016, 6-8pm.
