Michael Loren Price, 73, of Bedford, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2021, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Roxbury surrounded in love by his immediate family.

Michael was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 29, 1947, and he was the son of the late Wilbur and Dorothy (McNulty) Price.

He was raised in Kansas City and proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era as a paratrooper and platoon leader for which he received many meritorious decorations for his leadership including a Bronze Star Medal. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1970. He then entered the Army Reserves where he went on to become a Green Beret.

Michael earned his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and MBA at Northeastern University in Boston. In earlier years he worked for the State of Massachusetts Criminal Justice Department and later he was Director of Facilities at Epsilon in Burlington. He had a very rewarding career managing his real estate investments, and his construction business, Loren Construction.

Michael lived in Medford for several years before making Bedford his home in 2000.

He was predeceased by his first wife and dear friend, Joanne (Cafasso) Price and his siblings, Diane Whaley, Linda Coughlin, and Teresa Owens.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years, Elaine M. (Raftopoulos) Price. Beloved father to his two loving daughters, Ashley C. McAdam and her husband Jackson of Groton, and Meredith (Price) Tremblay of Lynnfield. Loving and devoted Papa to his grandchildren, Emerson, Reese, Grayson, and Vivienne. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to whom he was a loving and caring Uncle.

Michael loved life and was grateful for each day. He was the epitome of humble and kind. His wisdom, positive outlook on all things, philanthropic nature, jovial personality, and unconditional love and friendship will be forever missed by those who knew him. Michael was a true patriot; a proud veteran who loved his country. He enjoyed time volunteering at the VA in Bedford to support fellow veterans. He had a life-long passion for A model hot-rods, country music, ice cream, his daughters' cooking, and time spent with his family.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 28th, at Shawsheen Cemetery, Shawsheen Rd., Bedford, at 10:30 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Boston VA Medical Center, West Roxbury at 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132 with Attention to the Palliative Care Fund.
