Michael P. Davidson, age 60, passed away suddenly on July 20, 2022, at his home in Milton, GA.
Born in Concord, MA., Michael was the eldest of twin sons born to Richard and Stephanie Davidson. Michael attended Bedford schools and was active in all school activities. He played and excelled at both hockey and lacrosse. He went on to play hockey for St. Anselm's College before transferring to Westfield College, earning a degree in Business Administration.
Michael had a distinguished career as a financial consultant specializing in the transformation of healthcare businesses- an accomplished numbers guy. Throughout his career he served as Interim Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Revenue Cycle Expert in home health, hospice and hospital entities. Most recently, he worked with BCG HealthCare, Inc. of St. Louis, MO., and UnityPoint Health of Des Moines, Iowa.
Prior to this, Michael had held a variety of executive roles at Medserve Corporation, PSA Healthcare and as a senior healthcare consultant for RGP. Michael, being a great strategic leader, was able to motivate teams and, as a result, developed an endless circle of employees and friends.
Michael was an avid golfer, a passionate fan of the Bruins, Patriots, and Red Sox, citing statistics, chapter and verse. He followed the current political environment and was well versed in the issues of the day. He enjoyed spending time at his family summer home in Port Clyde and enjoyed being on the water.
Michael is survived by his mother, Stephanie Davidson, his brother Richard A. Davidson Jr (Lisa) of Bedford, MA, his sisters, Kathleen Jaeger of Great Falls, Virginia, and Mary Mahan (Jim) Reading, MA., as well as eleven nieces and nephews.
Michael was predeceased by his father, Dick Davidson, his twin brother Stephen, and an infant sister AnneMarie.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Road, Bedford, MA 01730 on Wednesday July 27, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael will take place on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at10:00am, St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Road, Bedford, MA.
Burial to follow at Forest Glen Cemetery, corner of Forest Glen and Pearl Street, Reading, MA.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St Michael Parish, 90 Concord Road, Bedford, MA 01730 or to the American Heart Association, 300 fifth Ave., Waltham MA 02451
