Matthew W. Knell, 44, of Maryland and formerly of Bedford, died suddenly on January 4, 2018.

Matthew was born on December 25, 1973 and was the son of Warren and Mary Lou (Dolbier) Knell of Moultonborough, NH.

He was a graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1992. He participated in musical theater and a number of singing groups.

Following high school, he attended Bentley College and graduated with a degree in marketing. He currently was a product manager at Eklof and Associates in Maryland. He formerly was employed by Exergen in Watertown.

Matthew was very devoted to his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, playing games, watching movies and visiting Lake Winnipesaukee.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, David and his wife Alice of Maryland, his sister, Cheryl Stebe and her husband Tom of Bedford, his niece, Lizzie and nephews, Christopher, Ryan and Evan.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, on Saturday, January 27, at 9:00 AM.
