Mary Jayne Ramsay, of Derry, NH, formerly of Bedford, MA, died in Derry on August 20, 2014.

Daughter of the late William H. and Mary A. (Stanley) Dickson, "Jayne" was born in Allston on August 27, 1926.

At the age of 16, after graduating from Arlington High School (Class of '43), she began working at Hanscom Air Force Base, contributing to the war effort. She went on to work at the Public Works Dept. of Bedford, and later in the Finance Dept., from which she retired in 2011 after many enjoyable years in public service.

She lived in Bedford from 1952 until 2013 when she moved to Derry, NH.
While living in Bedford, she was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was the wife of the late Edmond A. Ramsay Jr., mother of Diane L. McCann of Winchendon, Susan J. Cincevich and husband Nickolas of Westford, and Martha J. Mead and husband Ronald of Derry, NH. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Dickson and Dorothy Finlayson of Arlington, brother William H. Dickson, Jr. and his wife, Anne, of Murrell's Inlet, SC, sisters-in-law Gisela Dickson of Burlington, and Marilyn Dickson of Tewksbury, five grandchildren, Charles D. Iovino Jr. and his wife, Michele, of Westford, Tracy L. Cornelius and her husband, Michael, of Winchendon, Adam J. Mead and his wife, Shelly, of Derry, and Jennifer J. Mead and Benjamin C. Mead of Derry, one great granddaughter, Lilianna Iovino, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph and Joseph Dickson, and by her son-in-law, Charles D. Iovino Sr.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Friday Aug. 22 from 4:00 – 7:00pm.

Interment will be private.
