Mary H. Landfear, 92, of Chelmsford, a longtime Bedford resident, died on June 24, 2013, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Landfear was born in Concord, Mass. on December 13, 1920, to the late Arthur and Katherine A. (MacLellan) Hindle.

Mrs. Landfear had lived in Bedford from 1954 to 2010 when she moved to Billerica.
While living in Bedford, she was a member of the Bedford Women's Club and the Council on Aging. She was also a member of St. Michael parish for over 55 years.
She enjoyed traveling and visited many European countries and many historic sites in the USA.

She retired in 1982 from Sentry Insurance in Concord, where she worked for several years.

Mrs. Landfear was the wife of the late Robert Landfear who died in 1993.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Sheryl Ryder and her husband, Donald of Hollis, NH, Suzanne Lonergan and her husband, Vince of Chelmsford, and Robert Landfear and his wife, Sheena of Glastonbury, Conn., her sister, Florence Rogers of Portland, ME, grandchildren, Jennifer Ryder, Pamela Lonergan-Dotin, Mark Lonergan and Robert and Dylan Landfear, great grandchildren, Lily Dotin and Coltrain and Emilia Lonergan, her brother-in-law, William Landfear, sisters-in-law, Helen Peake and Ruby Whalon and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Joseph, Arthur, Frederick and Anne.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, on Sat., June 29, at 9:30 A.M. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 A.M.

Interment will be in Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
