Obituary

Mary Lou Knell, 79, of Marlborough and formerly of Bedford, died April 3, 2021.

She was raised in Newton and was a graduate of Newton High School.

After high school she attended New England Baptist School of Nursing and received her diploma in 1962.

She lived for 28 years in Bedford and had also lived in Watertown as well as Merrimack and Moultonborough, New Hampshire.

Mary Lou worked briefly as a nurse in a hospital setting and then worked for 34 years for an oral surgery practice in Wellesley.

While living in Bedford, she was an active member of St. Michael Parish and was a member of the Bedford Women's Social Club.

She was predeceased by her parents, Roger and Mary Louise (Schmall) Dolbier, her son, Matthew Knell and her brother, Roger Dolbier Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Warren Knell, her children, David Knell and his wife Alice of Arnold, MD and Cheryl Knell Stebe and her husband Thomas of Bedford, her sister, Ruth Dolbier Adams of Lincoln and her grandchildren, Christopher and Elizabeth Knell and Ryan and Evan Stebe.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, funeral services will be private.
