Mary T. Hartwell, 87, of Bedford, died on January 10, 2014, in Chelmsford.

Mrs. Hartwell was born in Boston on September 4, 1926, and she was the daughter of the late Roy and Margaret (Owen) Balcom.

A longtime resident of Bedford, she was a co-owner of a local cleaning company and member of St. Michael parish.

She was predeceased by her husband, Warren in 1993, and three brothers, Paul, George and Robert Balcom.

Mrs. Hartwell is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, on Tues., Jan. 14, at 8:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 A.M.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Mon., Jan, 13, from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.

Interment will be in Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford.
