Mary A. Bonanno, 88, of Bedford died on April 10, 2013, following several years of failing health.

Mrs. Bonanno was born in Cambridge, Mass. on April 12, 1924, to the late Frank and Mary Merlino) Sacco.

She was raised in Allston and lived in Lexington for 34 years before making Bedford her home in 1993.

She was devoted to caring for her family and friends. She was a
faithful parishioner at St. Brigid's Church in Lexington and later at St. Michael's in Bedford.

Mrs. Bonanno was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Bonanno, loving mother of Diane Fitzgerald of Bedford, Janice Landry of Kansas and the late A. Brian Bonanno, dear sister of Joan Lungo of Billerica, Lucy Massey of Lexington, Andrew Sacco and his wife, Barbara of Hudson, NH, Frank Sacco Jr. and his wife, Eva of Bedford and the late Anthony Sacco and devoted grandmother of Nicholas Bonanno, Peter and Joseph Landry, Emily Span, E. J. Fitzgerald IV and Max Fitzgerald.

Funeral from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, Tues. at 8:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, Bedford, at 9:00 A.M.

Funeral home visitation will be on Mon. from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
