Martha "Marty" (Sebree) McAlister, 93, of Bedford and formerly of Melbourne, FL, died on November 17, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at home.

She was the daughter of the late Edmund and Pauline (Weber) Sebree and was born in Vancouver, Washington.

Marty was happily married to Lt. Gen. Robert McAlister for nearly 58 years. She was a gracious and welcoming presence at his stations all over Europe, Central America, and the United States.

Marty was a wonderful mother to Polly and her husband Larry Herz of Bedford, Mary Smith of Bethesda, MD, Bob McAlister and Vickie of Naperville, IL, Ed McAlister and Cynthia of Orland Park, IL and Sam McAlister of Deland, FL. She cherished her grandchildren, Rachel and her husband Jeff, Alex and his wife Hana, Emily and her husband Ryan, Speight, Carl, Rob, and Anthony; and adored her sisters, Pauline Olow and Elizabeth Brennan of Carmel, CA.
