Marion L. (Priebe) Gecks, 86, of South Venice, Florida, formerly of Bedford, died on November 9, 2016.

She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Meta (Mix) Priebe.
Mrs. Gecks was born and raised in Cambridge. She was a graduate of the Cambridge High and Latin School, Class of 1946.

She was a longtime and devoted parishioner at the Lutheran Church of the Savior in Bedford.

Mrs. Gecks was a former employee in the Insurance industry and while raising her family worked at the IGA grocery store of Bedford and Pacer Systems of Billerica. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time at her Florida home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald L. Gecks, her children and their spouses, Dianne Carey and Daniel of Chelmsford, Bruce Gecks and Kathleen of Falmouth, MA, Carole Burns and Douglas of Westford, David Gecks and Norma Jean of Derry, NH and Stephen Gecks and Lisa of Shirley, her sister-in-law, Marilyn Priebe of East Falmouth, her grandchildren, David, Bethany and Benjamin Carey, Ryan Gecks, Gregory and Brandon Burns, Jaclyn Vitale, Corissa Webb, Cassie Schettino, Evan Gecks and Morgan Beck and 4 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Frederick and Richard Priebe.

Visitation will be at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Monday, November 14, from 3:00-7:00 PM. Her funeral service will take place at the Lutheran Church of the Savior, 426 Davis Rd., Bedford, on Tuesday, November 15, at 11:30 AM, followed by a burial in Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford.
