Marie Regina Hurley of Bedford and formerly of Belmont, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 18, 2013, at the age of 92. Marie was the beloved wife of the late William M. Hurley. She was the loving mother of Marie Patrice Hurley and the late Eugene Dorof of Bedford, Michelle and Charles Matteo of Bedford, Brianne and Michael Caso of Sudbury, Erin and Jerry O'Sullivan of Londonderry, NH, Claudette Hurley Regan of Fitchburg, William and Robin Hurley of Burlington. She was the cherished sister of Jean White of Natick and the late Louise Driscoll and Anne Chiapinelli. She doted on her grandchildren, David Matteo, Thomas and Saskia Matteo, Michael and Max Hurley-Dorof, Ryan O'Sullivan, Katie and Patrick Lord, Kara Caso and Kelly Hurley-Regan,William, Sean,Johnathan Hurley and one great-grandchild Benjamin Lord.

After the early death of her husband Bill, Marie raised her six children by obtaining a Master's Degree and established a long teaching career as a school librarian in Woburn, MA. She was an Eagle Scout, a long-time member of the League of Women Voters, a Bedford School volunteer and a devoted member and volunteer at St. Michael's Parish in Bedford.

Visitation hours will be at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Road, Bedford from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, February 22nd. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Michael's Church, 60 Concord Rd. Bedford at 9 a.m. on Saturday and interment will follow at the Belmont Cemetery.
