Margaret Louise (Schlichting) Browne, 74, of Bedford died on November 30, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at home.

She was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Schlichting and was born in Holyoke. She graduated from Holyoke High School, Wheaton College (BA), and Tufts University (M. Ed.). She was a teacher in South Hadley, Winchester, and Bedford, MA elementary schools. She was active in the community including Girl Scouts and the Bedford Garden Club. She loved her church, the Lutheran Church of the Savior in Bedford, MA where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, headed the Altar Guild, taught Sunday school, was a member of the Host and Visitation Committee, and Open Arms Christian Preschool Board Member.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert, son Craig and daughter-in-law Josephine, of Tampa, FL, daughter Sage and son-in-law Don Veino of Westford, MA. Loving grandmother of Erin and Carson Browne, and Raeden Veino.

Visitation will be at Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held at Lutheran Church of the Savior, 426 Davis Rd., Bedford, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at 10:00 AM with funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lutheran Church of the Savior, 426 Davis Rd., Bedford, MA, and designated toward "A Clean Start".
