Lorraine S. Campbell, 84, of Lexington, formerly of Bedford and Acton, died on Nov. 18, 2018, in Burlington.
Mrs. Campbell was born and raised in Lexington and she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Mildred (Butters) Seth. She was a graduate of Lexington High School and later earned her degree in education from Lesley College.
Mrs. Campbell moved to Acton in 1960 where she raised her family. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Lorraine taught kindergarten and was an active volunteer in the schools, and scouting.
In 1997, she moved to Bedford where she was active in the community. She was active with the Council on Aging, a volunteer with the Mom's Program at Emerson Hospital and a member St. Paul's Episcopal Church. At St. Paul's she enjoyed helping with the Christmas Fair, crafts and other volunteer projects. She also helped with the Sunday School program.
She is survived by her five children, Cheryl Campbell of Arlington, Colin "Glenn" Campbell of Arlington, Seth Campbell and his wife, Sandy of Ashburn, VA, Joyce Campbell of Manchester, NH and Jonathan Campbell and his wife, Meghan of Hadley, seven grandchildren, Casey, Jesse, Leslie, Jana, Jackson, Owen and Theda and her former husband, Paul Campbell.
A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 100 Pine Hill Rd., Bedford, on Friday, Nov. 23, at 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452 or to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 100 Pine Hill Rd., Bedford, MA 01730.
