Kevin F. O'Rourke, 66, of Acton and formerly of Bedford, died on July 9, 2017.

He was born and raised in Cambridge and was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Colbert) O'Rourke.

Kevin worked for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority for 20 years. He was a plant operator at the Deer Island Waste Water Treatment Plant and he retired in 2002.

He had lived in Bedford from 2002-2015 before moving to Acton.

Kevin enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was the husband of Susan (Bell) O'Rourke. Loving father of Michelle O'Rourke of Burlington, Nicole DeRose and her husband Phil of Townsend and Derek O'Rourke of Belmont. Brother of Thomas O'Rourke and Lorraine Mattson and the late Gerard, Jack and Patricia O'Rourke and Elaine Foster. Cherished grandfather of Ava, Elijah and Milo O'Rourke and Mason DeRose. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Thurs., July 13, from 5:00-8:00 PM. Funeral service is private.
