Kenneth C. Alexander Sr., 75, of Bedford died on August 14, 2013, in Concord following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Alexander was born in Boston and was the son of the late Kenneth and Ida (Hall) Alexander.

During the 1950s he served in the Navy and was honorably discharged.

He was retired from Charles River Labs in Wilmington. He was employed there for 40 years and was a manager of the shipping and receiving department.

Ken enjoyed playing cards, fishing and camping with family and friends.

He was the husband of Sandra (Phelps) Alexander, father of Deborah Vasquez of SC, David of Methuen, Kenneth Jr. and Arthur of Billerica, Christopher of Merrimack, NH, and Michael of Bedford, stepfather of Michelle Cunha of Concord, NH and brother of Betty Bernier, Harriet Rochleau, Dorothy Salvato, Edwina Berg and the late Barbara Gerakines. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, Fri., August 16, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.

Graveside service at Shawsheen Cemetery, Shawsheen Rd., Bedford, on Sat., August 17, at 10 A.M.
