Kathleen Wright, 71, of Lexington, died on January 5, 2015, in Cambridge.
Kathy was raised in Lexington. After graduating Lexington High School, she attended Boston College. Kathy spent a year traveling around Europe. Upon returning, she worked as an office manager for the family's construction company. She also worked at Middlesex Hospital as a health care worker providing care and compassion to the ill. Kathy later returned to college for accounting, passing the CPA exam and receiving one of the highest grades ever awarded. Kathy truly loved her work and was very dedicated to her profession and her clients.
For over 25 years, Kathy belonged to the Old North Bridge Hounds. She was fondly referred to as the Mother Fox. During the spring and fall seasons she and others would plan and map out trails and twice a week lay the sent for the fox hunt.
Kathy loved a good book, a glass of red wine and classical music.
She will be remembered for her dedication to family and friends, love of nature and her optimistic attitude towards life.
She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sara Wright, sister of the late Ann Nelson and Frances and Thomas Wright and aunt of the late David Harrison.
She is survived by her niece, Katherine Cormier of Billerica, nephews, Daniel Harrison of Palm Bay, FL, Dana Harrison of Wilmington, Matthew Wright of Hudson, Scott Wright of Austin, TX and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, on Friday, January 9, from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. followed by a funeral service.
