Karl O. Lundgren, 87, of Lowell and formerly of Bedford, died peacefully on November 11, 2017.
Karl was born in New London, Connecticut on March 29, 1930 and was the beloved son of the late Fred and Dorothy "Billie" (Parker) Lundgren of Dennisport, MA and was the brother of the late Dee Lutton of Bedford, MA and the late Fred W Lundgren Jr. of Dennisport, MA.
He was a devoted husband for over forty years to his late wife, Joyce (Collins) Lundgren.
He was a proud graduate of Boston University School of Business, Class of 1954. He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1957 and enjoyed a long successful career in sales with the former Ginsburg Bros, Inc., located in Somerville, MA.
Karl was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. He always enjoyed any time spent with his family and many friends.
Karl is survived by and will be missed by his son Karl Lundgren and daughter- in- law Joan of Groton, MA, his daughter Lesley Cormier and son- in- law Mike of Pepperell, MA and daughter Laura Sullivan of Portsmouth, NH. He will also be missed by his eight loving grandchildren: Ericka DiSessa of Tacoma, Washington and Chase Lundgren of Groton, Sara Curtis of Marshfield MA, Bryan Cormier & wife Jill of Lancaster, MA, Laura and Dana Cormier of Pepperell and Emily and Joseph Sullivan of Westford, MA. Karl will also be missed by his sister- in- law Fran Lundgren of Jensen Beach FL and Peggy Collins of Jensen Beach, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd Bedford, MA, on Tuesday, November 14, from 3:00-7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 100 Pine Hill Rd., Bedford, on Wednesday, November 15, at 10:00 AM.
