Joy Mildred May Robinson, 88, died peacefully at her home in Bedford on February 20, 2026.

Joy was born to Leonora (Parrick) Parks on January 19,1938 in Eastbourne, England. Soon thereafter, they relocated to London, where together they survived the Battle of Britain. When it ended, they fled to Wales by train for the duration of World War II.

When the war ended, they returned to London. Joy completed grade school and went on to earn her degree in Administrative Studies from Regent Street Polytechnic.

While living and working for Mercedes-Benz in London, Joy met (then) 2nd Class Airman Fredrick Robinson of the United States Air Force. They married in 1958. The Air Force called them to the United States in 1960. They lived the Air Force life, travelling throughout the country while building a family.

Joy loved her family more than anything. She took great pride in her children, whom she dedicated her life to. In 1981, they were stationed to Hanscom Air Force Base, and relocated to Bedford. Joy worked for civil service, in administration, for 10 years.

After retirement, she discovered her great passion for raising and showing Yorkshire Terriers. Four of her "Yorkies" became champions, some of the proudest moments of her life.

Always up for a "spot of tea" and good conversation, Joy lived up to her name and then some. She had a heart of gold and the voice of an angel, along with her charming English accent.

Joy is survived by her 7 children, Leonard Robinson and his wife Inna of Boca Raton, FL, Clark Robinson and his wife Jana of Round Rock, TX, David Robinson of Bedford, MA, Sarah Seeber and her husband Todd of Newton, MA, Stephen Robinson of Milton, MA Douglas Robinson and wife Christine of Simsbury, CT, and Kenneth Robinson  of  Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, whom she adored.

She is predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Lt. Col. Fredrick Robinson.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
