Obituary

Josephine M. "Jodie" Luther, 92, a former longtime Lexington resident died on April 12, 2012, at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester where she had resided since 2004.

Mrs. Luther was born on September 27, 1919, to the late James and Josephine Waldron and was the sister of the late Ed Waldron.

She was a graduate of Emerson College in Boston with her degree in Theater Arts.

She was employed in the theater for many years and was an expert hat and costume maker for the Regal Players, Ogunquit Playhouse and others in New England. Jodie was a co-owner of Waldron's Diner in Lexington. In later years, she was employed as a receptionist at Raytheon in Lexington.

Mrs. Luther was a former member of the Lexington Garden Club and the Crittenton Home.

She is survived by her step-family, Bob and Ann Luther of Lake Suzy, FL, and their children Lisa and Rob; Lisa and Chris Housel of Essex Falls, NJ and their daughter, Katie Elizabeth; Rob and Dana Luther of Stamford, CT and their son Michael; John Luther, Reston VA, Paul and Maryann Luther of No. Andover and their son, Paul Thomas and daughter Carolyn Trabuco and her husband, Mauricio of Westport, CT and their sons, Aidan and Ian.

Her funeral service will be held at the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, Wed., May, 16, at 11:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery, Lexington, alongside her husband and close to her parents.
