Joan E. Yanosick, 81, of Bedford, died on September 19, 2012, surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Yanosick was born in Bedford on May 10, 1931, to the late Frederick and Esther L. (Mara) Sullivan. Her father was a former police chief in Bedford.
She was a lifelong resident and was a graduate of Lexington High School, Class of 1949.
Mrs. Yanosick was a member of St. Michael's Parish and a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Post 221, Bedford. Her special interests were walking and playing Keno.
She was employed by Raytheon prior to starting her family in 1957.
She will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker who cherished her family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Yanosick Sr., loving mother of Robert J. Jr. of Haverhill, Richard and his wife, Maura of Scituate, Frederick J. of Beverly and Linda Sheehan and her husband, Brian of Chelmsford, devoted grandmother of Justin, Cara, Margaret "Meg", Shaun, Scott, Brady, Kelsey and Julianne and great grandmother of Patrick, dear sister of Esther "Sis" Genetti and the late Margaret "Peg" Sullivan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 The Great Rd., Bedford, Mon., Sept. 24, at 8:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford at 9:00 A.M.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Sun., Sept. 23, from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M.
Interment will be in Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford.
